Given the ongoing pandemic, the Waltham Farmers’ Market (WFM) is reaching out to our valued community to look for volunteers to help us run the market during our 31st season, June 5 - October 30.
For the second year in a row, Farmers’ Markets are still considered an “essential service” in Massachusetts, and will operate under the health and safety guidelines from the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources and Department of Public Health .
Last year, we had an incredible group of volunteers who helped us achieve our primary purpose: facilitating the Market in order to provide access to healthy food, support local producers and small farms and to enhance downtown Waltham. Each week, their enthusiasm and can-do attitude made the Market a community resource despite the challenges of the pandemic. Most of them will be volunteering again this summer but there’s always room for more!
Typically, weekly shifts are scheduled 7:30 am - 9:30 am, 9:30 am - 12 pm, and 12 pm - 2 pm. We'd love to include you in our volunteer pool, even if it's just a few Saturdays.
Thanks in advance for considering volunteering at the WFM.
